Other fasts are 24 hours, 20 hours with a 4 hour eating window. When you are fasting, you are not supposed to eat or drink anything other than water, plain tea, and black coffee. I have been incorporating fasting into my life for years. Fasting has helped with weightloss, but I also love fasting for the health benefits such as renewing my cells. I will usually do a 20 hour fast with a 4 hour eating window on the days that I do fast. I have also fasted for longer periods and have done plenty of 72 hour fasts. It is important to break your fast with foods that won't bring your insulin levels too high up.
